Welcome
Not long ago, for many children of Canada’s First Nations, school was a traumatic experience: they had to go to residential schools where teachers wanted to disconnect them from their culture. Luckily, the last residential school closed in 1996. The children who now are adults had to wait for an apology for a very long time. Still, a lot of people have no idea what happened in these schools. To avoid such things from happening again, it is important to learn what people are capable of. This WebQuest will help you understand that if we listen to the stories of the men and women, who had to go to residential schools, we can help them heal.
